The X user, Divyansh Tripathi, wrote a post asking Zomato to take instant action on receiving beef over chicken

The incident came to light when the customer tagged @zomatocare and @zomato on the social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), stating,

I have ordered chicken biryani and the biryani which i received is having beef pieces .
I want a instant action on this , this is something about the religious matter.

The user shared pictures and video clips showing the beef pieces he received in the chicken biriyani he ordered from the app. He wanted instant action by emphasizing the religious concerns related to the disturbing mishap.

This mistake could hurt religious and cultural sentiments, especially in a diverse country like India, where dietary preferences are maintained strictly. Zomato responded with a statement that the incident is shocking and assured the frustrated customer that they do not intend to disrespect his dietary preferences.

They also assured him that they would try to resolve the issue quickly by contacting their restaurant partner. They said,

Hi Divyansh, this is truly shocking for us as we take your dietary preferences very seriously and would never intend to disrespect them. Please share your order ID via DM, so we can resolve this at the earliest with the restaurant partner.

Due to the delayed action by Zomato, Divyansh wrote a follow-up post addressing Zomato. He stated,

You guys have not taken any action yet

Zomato Care further responded to his post, saying that their team is actively addressing the issue, to which Divyansh contested that the company had been giving him assurance from the day before, but if they fail to deliver a solution, he might tag the state police and the chief minister to acknowledge this issue.
