In a shocking case of food delivery negligence, a Swiggy customer was left disappointed and hungry after receiving a non-vegetarian chicken biryani instead of the vegetarian food items he ordered from the food delivery app. The incident raises serious concerns about food safety, dietary respect, and operational responsibility within India’s growing food delivery sector.
The customer took to X and posted screenshots of his order details and the wrong item he received
According to the customer, he had placed an order for a vegetarian thali consisting of dal makhani, paneer, and paratha. However, to his despair, the package they received contained chicken dum biryani. The order he received was a complete mismatch with his dietary preference.

I was extremely hungry and contacted the delivery person, Swiggy’s customer support, and Dana Choga’s customer support.
But they all blamed each other. Dana Choga claimed it was the delivery person’s mistake, saying they delivered someone else’s order to me.
