On the other hand, the majority of Pakistanis were outraged over the fact that Mahira expressed condolences for the victims of the Pahalgam attack when Indian government officials openly accused Pakistan of orchestrating the attack.

Indians call for a boycott of Pakistan from everywhere

The Pahalgam terror attack has not only triggered grief but also fueled public anger across India. Following the incident, many social media users have demanded a full boycott of Pakistan, both economically and diplomatically. The emotional wave of nationalism and grief has heightened sensitivities, making public figures’ statements even more scrutinized.

Despite the fact that many Pakistani artists, such as Fawad Khan, Hania Aamir, Farhan Saeed, Mawra Hocane, and Usama Khan, denounced the attack and offered their condolences to the victims, Indians are still outraged everywhere on social media. In view of these sentiments, the Indian government announced a major diplomatic cutback, announcing several measures against Pakistan.

Amid #BoycottPakistan calls, the Indian government banned Fawad Khan’s movie Abir Gulaal

While the expulsion of Pakistanis from India and the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty took center stage, entertainment collaborations were also severely affected. Government sources claim they will not permit the distribution of the Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s film Abir Gulaal in India.

The film was supposed to be released on May 9 and also stars Vaani Kapoor. This movie was seen as Fawad Khan’s Bollywood comeback after several years. Earlier, he had appeared in several Hindi movies, including Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Khoobsurat, and Kapoor & Sons. Following the Uri attack, he and other Pakistani artists were prohibited from appearing in Hindi-language movies.
