In a recent interview on the ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Khan Sir clarified that the decision to wear the ghoonghat was entirely his wife’s own decision. He revealed,

“My wife decided to wear the veil at the reception”

He added,

“she said it was her childhood dream and that every girl dreams of becoming a bride with a veil.”

He explained that she wanted to stand out amid the well-dressed crowd and embody the complete bridal experience by covering her face with a ghoonghat.

He also shared that he initially expressed concern about potential backlash, to which his wife adamantly responded,

“No, it’s my childhood dream”

So, he respected her wish.
