Indian Railways always tried to become more and more convenient for passengers. From launching new trains to giving new amenities, Indian Railways keeps improving with time. However, despite such efforts, troubles never seem to go away from Indian Railways. It is known as the lifeline of our country because it transports a lot of passengers and other stuff easily without paying a lot. But this same specialty sometimes becomes a problem in crowded countries like India.
Nowadays, seeing crowded trains of Indian Railways has become a habit. But sometimes the train is so crowded that you feel suffocated. So imagine what happens to those who board such trains. Recently, a video of a girl went viral on social media in which she was seen suffocating while sitting in an overcrowded train. However, what shocks everyone is that instead of helping her, other commuters laughed at her and made her video while she was suffocating. Now, Indian Railways has also reacted to the viral video:

A girl was almost suffocated, stampeded into a train coach, and she was running out of breath. The crowd on the platform was laughing and mocking her. What do you call such behaviour?
Through his post, he also called on the Railway Ministry, Railway Seva, and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to enhance crowd control throughout the festival season. To avoid crowding and guarantee passenger safety, the user recommended actions like limiting entry at busy stations and sending out security personnel, like the CRPF, on days when travel is at its highest. He added,
Dear @AshwiniVaishnaw Ji @RailMinIndia @RailwaySeva. Every festival the surge at railway stations and people entering trains without tickets surges, the mob rules the trains. Why cant we have access control to railway stations at least during festival season and especially known stations which have massive crowds trying to get into trains. Deploy CRPF etc at such stations during festival peak at selected stations and have access control for them during the peak. I Dont think its an impossible task…

Indians, basically. That’s why our politicians and babus treat us in such a shitty manner and people in foreign countries don’t respect us.
It’s because we don’t respect ourselves.

These people just stood there laughing and recording in phone while a girl was gasping for breath, literally fighting to stay conscious? That’s not just shameless, it’s inhuman.
