Both families were happy for them, and then Sushma got pregnant just a few days after the marriage. After a few months, the husband received an unexpected call that turned their happily married life into a living hell.

He told his therapist how he got married to Sushma six months ago after meeting on a matrimonial site. Her father had only one demand that his son-in-law should have a government job with a salary of over 1 lakh per month and a good character. Sushma was beautiful, so we didn’t ask for anything else. We got married in a month, and then Sushma got pregnant just a few days later.
After about five months, he received a call from a guy named Ankit who claimed to be Sushma’s ex. Ankit told him that they had been dating for 3 years, but her parents had rejected his proposal because he didn’t earn much.

The worst part of the whole conversation is that her parents knew about it and still decided to hide it from him. Later, he confronted Sushma, to which she accepted it was all true, but she also said that she didn’t meet him because she wanted his child, but because Ankit wanted to meet her for the last time. She also said that the child’s father is Ankit, but it was a mistake.

“And what made it worse? Her parents knew everything but chose to hide it from me. When I confronted Sushma, she broke down and admitted it was all true. She said, “It was part of my past. I met him a day before our marriage—not because I wanted his child, but because he asked me to meet him one last time. And yes, the child I’m carrying is his, but it was a mistake.” This is the reality I’m sitting with. I don’t know who to trust anymore. And most painfully, I don’t know what to do with myself.
