The murder of Raja Raghuvanshi has been a trending topic of discussion on social media, given the grave situation and confusion surrounding the case. The couple allegedly went to Meghalaya for their honeymoon, but the events that followed were horrific.

Reportedly, Raja Raghuvanshi’s wife, Sonam, plotted the murder along with her boyfriend Raj Kushwaha and three other accomplices. According to sources, the couple went missing after they checked out of their homestay in Meghalaya.

Both Raja and Sonam were missing for a few days after that. However, while Raja Raghuvanshi’s lifeless body was found in a gorge on June 2, Sonam remained missing. The police found Sonam in a dhaba in Ghazipur, UP.

Raja and Sonam were last seen on May 23 before they checked out of Shipara Homestay in Meghalaya’s Nongriat village. His body was found in a gorge on June 2. Sonam was found in Uttar Pradesh a week after Raja’s body was found in the gorge. When Sonam was caught, she surrendered to the police and revealed that she and her boyfriend hired three hitmen, Akash, Anand, and Vikash, to kill Raja.

But how did Sonam reach UP from Meghalaya after the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi?

Reportedly, Sonam and her boyfriend, Raj, had made the murder plan a few days after her wedding to Raja on May 11. Nine days after their marriage, on May 20, they left for Meghalaya. On May 21, the couple was in the state capital, Shillong.

The hitmen hired by Sonam reached Guwahati on May 21 and arrived at Shillong on May 22, following Sonam and Raja. The murder might have taken place on May 23, the day the couple went missing.

The accused hitmen who killed Raja claimed that it was Sonam who directed them to kill her husband, Raja. Sources reveal that the murder occurred before her, and later she was spotted about 10 kilometres away from the crime location.

According to some sources, after the murder of her husband, all four charged assembled 11 kilometers away from the crime scene. Her boyfriend, Raj, did not travel to Meghalaya.

Sonam left for Guwahati and took a train to her hometown in MP. Reportedly, her boyfriend Raj Kushwaha rented a room for her in Indore on May 25. He checked into another hotel nearby. Later, they arranged a car to travel to UP. Sonam was then arrested at the dhaba in Ghazipur on June 8.

Police claimed that Sonam was found in a troubled state and with a fever. She surrendered in Ghazipur late at night on June 8.

According to reports, the police team that figured out the case has disclosed the chain of events that led them to Sonam’s whereabouts. The police are trying to figure out the intentions of the prime suspect.
