Before this, Dhanush traveled to Mumbai to attend the special screening of “Son of Sardaar 2,” starring Mrunal and Ajay Devgn. From the same event, a video of them spending time together went viral on social media. In the viral video, like long-lost lovers having a passionate chat, Mrunal appeared to be completely absorbed in her conversation with Dhanush, and they both looked into each other’s eyes. Because of this, fans become even more intrigued about whether they were dating or not.

Netizens claimed that Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur shared a Spotify playlist

Not only their videos of spending time together, but Mrunal’s Spotify playlist also hints that something is definitely brewing between them. Mrunal has not been dating since she became famous with Sita Ramam, while Dhanush is recently single following a split from his wife, Aishwarya. One ardent fan even found a different playlist of Tamil songs called “Maama’s Favs” on Mrunal’s Spotify account. So, Reddit users concluded that they were the newest romance in Indian cinema.

Because there were both old and Tamil songs on the playlist, the netizen revealed that “Mama” was a reference to Dhanush. They were all put on the playlist, and Dhanush may listen to them all. Apart from this, they were also seen hugging each other publicly during the success party of ‘Tere Ishq Mein.’

However, as of right now, neither Dhanush nor Mrunal Thakur has made any comments regarding the matter.  In 2022, Dhanush and his ex-wife, Aishwaryaa Rajnikanth, called it quits. The pair fell in love while working together on the set of Dhanush’s 2003 film Kaadhal Kondein, but their romance did not last long.

On the other hand, Mrunal seems to keep her personal life under wraps. Despite this, some of her rumored relationships grabbed attention from time to time. First, she was rumored to be dating writer Sharad Tripathi, with whom she appeared on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 7. Later, she was rumored to be dating her Kumkum Bhagya co-star Arjit Taneja. However, they insisted they were only close friends. Apart from this, she was also associated with Dulquer Salman, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and rapper Badshah in recent years. But there is never any proof of a relationship.
