A woman with the username S took to X and shared a disturbing experience she faced while ordering essentials from Blinkit. In her post, she revealed that the delivery agent touched her inappropriately while handing over the parcel. She expressed her anger and disappointment with the company, writing,

“This is what happened with me today while ordering from Blinkit. The delivery guy asked for my address again and then touched me inappropriately. This is NOT acceptable. @letsblinkit please take strict action. #Harassment #Safety @letsblinkit …is women safety a joke in India?”
The woman further revealed that Blinkit initially did not take her complaint seriously. She claimed that when she first reported the matter, the company only issued a warning to the delivery driver and suggested sensitivity training. It was only after she submitted CCTV video proof of the incident that Blinkit acted more firmly by terminating the driver’s contract and banning him from the platform.
In the CCTV clip she shared, the Blinkit delivery agent can be clearly seen holding the parcel in his left hand and simultaneously using his right hand to touch her chest while handing it over. Shocked, the woman quickly placed the parcel in front of her body to avoid further contact. The disturbing act in the video matched exactly what she had described in her post.

Even after such a traumatizing experience, S had to clarify that she was not trying to ruin anyone’s career for views or attention. Instead, she said she shared the clip to ensure that companies like Blinkit implement stricter measures against such misconduct.

Soon after the woman’s post began gaining traction on X, Blinkit responded with what many felt was a generic corporate reply. The company wrote,

While Blinkit eventually terminated the delivery agent’s contract, this happened only after she shared the CCTV proof. And while evidence is important, it is disheartening that women’s words alone are often not trusted. The incident has reignited a painful question, when will men start acting better?
