An Air India passenger who was travelling with two children described his 8-hour journey as ‘absolute chaos’. During the flight, they discovered that the tray table failed to open in the seat they were assigned. The passenger with the username ‘Mr. Credible’ shared on social media that they tried to balance meals and drinks on a standalone tray provided by the crew.

In a post on X, the person wrote that they want to support Air India, but “they make it so damn tough”. They claimed that the airline asked them to sign a “consent form” at the check-in counter when they aired the issue of choosing a seat with the ‘unserviceability’ of a ‘tray table’.

The passenger shared that they faced more problems every time the flight went through turbulence.

got seats on @airindia where the tray table didn’t open. they made me sign a consent form at the check-in counter. alternative? sit separately from my kids and let the whole flight suffer. so I had no other option but to sign. these were seats which I had paid extra for by the way during web check-in.

8 hours of absolute chaos. food in one hand, a drink in the other. kid’s meal balanced on my knee. turbulence trying to sabotage my entire existence.
