Himani Shivpuri opened up about the relationship between Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
In a recent interview with Red FM Podcasts, actress Himani Shivpuri talked candidly about Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s relationship. She revealed that during the filming of ‘Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai,’ she and Aishwarya were close friends, and that Aishwarya and Salman had a close relationship at the time. Speaking about this, Himani Shivpuri says,

She was not very established back then. We were very close then and used to roam in vans. We would shoot in Hyderabad for Humara Dil Aapke Pass Hai. This was the time when she and Salman were going very strong, so Salman used to come every night and leave in the morning. She was very nice and very well read, and we used to talk a lot. And there were some things that I couldn’t share, of course. More than a beauty, I think she is a very nice person.
Himani Shivpuri reveals Salman Khan got pissed off over Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
In the same interview, Himani Shivpuri recalled an instance in which Salman Khan visited Himani to complain about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She revealed that Salman wanted her to speak with Aishwarya because he was angry with her. Himani Shivpuri says,
I remember once we were shooting in Film City. Aishwarya was shooting with Abhishek for Rohan Sippy’s film, and Salman had come, and he was pissed. He was telling me, ‘Kya hai? Isko samjhao. Waheeda Rehman ko dekhe. Apne aap ko bohot khubsurat samajhti hai.’ I used to tell him to calm down, to stay quiet.
What are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan currently doing?
Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai reportedly started dating in 1999 while working together on the set of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. However, they broke up in 2002. Their most recent collaboration was Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, which came out in 2002. Years after their affair ended, Aishwarya married Abhishek Bachchan in a beautiful, private ceremony in 2007, and the couple are now proud parents to a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. On the other hand, Salman Khan hasn’t married yet and is focused on his career.

On the work front, Aishwarya last appeared in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan II (2023), which also stars Vikram, Sobhita Dhulipala, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, and others. The movie made Rs 344.63 crore globally, making it a box office success. On the other hand, Salman most recently starred in Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, which did not connect with viewers and did poorly at the box office. He will next feature in Apoorva Lakhia’s Battle of Galwan, which is currently being produced.
