She raised a concern about online safety after experiencing an incident where she had uploaded a fully sleeved photo on Google Gemini, but the AI-generated image revealed a small mole on her arm that was not visible in the original picture. Nano banana AI’s saree trend turns “creepy”, went viral
Recently, an Instagram user, @jhalakbhawnani, shared a video where she raised a concern about online safety and how our data is taken from us without our knowledge. In the video, she has shared her uncomfortable experience with the viral Google Gemini’s “Nano Banana AI saree trend.”

She said in the video that she uploaded her image to Google’s Gemini with a prompt to turn it into a viral saree look. She tried it at night and found something unsettling or creepy in the generated picture.
“I generated my image, and I found something creepy… so a trend is going viral on Instagram where you upload your image on Gemini with a prompt, and Gemini converts it into saree… Last night, I tried this too, and I found something very creepy on this”
Further in the video, she has added an image that she had uploaded for Nano Banana AI saree transformation, and the converted image that she got in return.

“You can see the image on the screen, the one that I have uploaded on Gemini, in this I am wearing a green coloured full-sleeved suit. So, I added the prompt with this image, and this is the result I got from Gemini.”
She added that she loved this picture, which is why she also uploaded it to her Instagram. Later, she noticed something weird with the image, as it had a mole on her left hand, which she has in real life but was hidden in the uploaded picture with a full-sleeve dress. She said,
“I found this image very attractive and even posted it on my Instagram. But then I noticed something strange, that there is a mole on my left hand in the generated image, which I have in real. But the original image I uploaded did not have a mole”

She raises concerns as to how Google’s Gemini knows that she has a mole on that part of the body, calling it scary and creepy. Further, she added that she wants to inform everyone about this incident and caution everyone about uploading personal and intimate information on social media and AI platforms. She added,

“How Gemini know I have a mole in this part of my body? You can see this mole… this is very scary, very creepy… I am still not sure how this happened. I wanted to share this information with all of you. Please be safe… whatever you’re uploading on social media or AI platforms, please be safe”
