In an emotional plea that reflects the struggle of countless laborers across the country, a worker has voiced deep frustration over unfair treatment in the workplace. The words spoken are not in protest but in desperation, reflecting the reality of many workers in India’s unregulated labor sectors, where incentives promised are not delivered, and wages are often deducted.
An X user and Zomato agent, Sisir Pradhan, expresses his frustration over not receiving incentives and the deduction of money by Zomato
The Zoimato delivery agent took to social media and said that they work under harsh weather conditions and long hours, but still the company deducts pay and doesn’t deliver proper incentives and other payments that they deserve. Asking for help, he wrote,
@zomatocare
We will work in the sun and in the rain throughout the day and after that if we deduct all the money, then who will work in your company? Plaese helping me my incentive 237 and return pay 114.plaese help me
He also shared a screenshot of his earnings that displays his incentives and other earnings as zero for 15 June. The delivery agent claims that he is supposed to receive an incentive of Rs 237 and a return pay of Rs 114, neither of which was credited.

In many industries, especially logistics, delivery, construction, security, and factory work, workers often face unjust wage practices. Bonus pay and incentives are frequently promised but rarely delivered in full.

To avoid these circumstances, companies and contractors must be held accountable. Workers must be authorized to raise their voices, and platforms must exist where such concerns can be addressed transparently. The government should also step in to ensure labor protections.
