Indian Railways is one of the most used means of public transport in India. With the growing population and lack of proper rules and regulations, most trains face overcrowding. The number of complaints regarding overcrowding of AC compartments is increasing at an alarming rate. Most passengers complain about the poor condition of the AC coaches, where passengers without reservation block the passageways to the toilet and even sit on the floor.
A frustrated passenger took to social media, X, and posted a video claiming that AC coaches look like general compartments
The man by the Twitter handle Gandharv Vinayak Rai posted a video on social media showing the overcrowded AC coach of Poorva Express. In the video, Vinayak can be seen recording the area near the toilet and also the passage inside the AC coach B5. Several passengers with no reservation can be seen sitting on the floor of the coach and sharing seats with reserved passengers.
He posted the video and mentioned his train number along with it. He also added that he is showing the condition of the compartment near Patna, which looks like a crowded general coach. He also said that he had already made a complaint at Rail Madad with the complaint number 2024121005214, but even after 45 minutes, has got no response from the Railways.
The man tagged Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Railways saying,

Main reason of problem is insufficient number of general bogies in trains besides beside ‘no fear’ attitude of public in certain states. Consider plight of the passengers in the video!

Kuch hone wala nahi hain bhai. Hum reservation nikalne wale hi pagal hain aisa lagta hain kabhi kabhi. Kitne baar bhi complaint karo ek hi reply aata hain. Aur hamare railway minister ki baat hi alag hain bus reel banane mein hi busy hain.

We also believe that the Railways should take necessary measures to avoid such situations and help out the passengers with reserved tickets.
