Pakistani Actress Makes A Bold Promise If Bangladesh Beats India In 2023 Cricket World Cup

3 minutes read

In their matchup last Saturday for the Cricket World Cup 2023, India delivered the Pakistani cricket team a crushing defeat. The Indian side won convincingly by 7 wickets under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. The meeting of these cricketing heavyweights attracted ardent Indian spectators, and the home team lived up to the hype. India limited Pakistan to a meager 191 runs via precision bowling. Rohit Sharma’s aggressive batting during the run chase alleviated pressure on the scoreboard, and Shreyas Iyer’s impressive half-century sealed the game. With 117 balls remaining, the home team secured victory.

Though Pakistan has only lost one of its three World Cup games so far, questions still surround their chances of moving on to the next round. Pakistan must now get to at least the semifinals to meet India once more. Intriguingly, Sehar Shinwari, a Pakistani actress, is betting on Bangladesh to seek revenge on Pakistan for their loss when they play India on Thursday.

On X, she wrote,

“InshAllah my Bangali Bandu will avenge us in the next match. I will go to Dhaka and have a fish dinner date with Bangali boy if their team managed to beat India.”

However, the comments didn’t sit well with Indian fans

As a result, Indian fans started trolling her mercilessly. Since then, her post has gone viral on social media, with many people making fun of it. While many people reminded her of the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, others trolled the Pakistani actress for being too obsessive about Indian matches.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally raised concerns with the International Cricket Council (ICC) on various fronts. It was revealed in a recent announcement on social media made on Tuesday. According to the statement, PCB has officially protested to the ICC the lack of a visa policy for Pakistani World Cup 2023 spectators as well as the delays in granting visas to media persons from Pakistan. The PCB has also complained about improper behavior directed at the Pakistan team during the India vs. Pakistan game played on October 14, 2023.
