There was a huge fan following of hers as it still is but at that time it is said that it was not just the fans who adored her the most but also a well-known personality named Raj Thackeray. Raj Thackeray happens to be a famous Indian politician.

As per the reports, it is believed that when Raj Thackeray was at the beginning of his political career he also worked and pushed Sonali Bendre’s career. If rumors are to be believed, it was said that Sonali used to get so many works solely because of her linkup with such a famous politician of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

It is also said that Raj Thackeray eventually fell in love with this beautiful actress and even wanted to get married. Still, it was his uncle Balasaheb Thackeray who was completely against this because of the obvious fact that Raj was already married to Sharmila Thackeray. He and Sonali worked on various romantic films together like Sapoot, Takkar, Qahar, and Bhai which somehow made Sonali form a huge crush on her co-actor. Sonali used to silently adore this macho man Suniel Shetty from afar because of the well-established fact that he was already married that too with his childhood sweetheart Mana Shetty.

3. Shoaib Akhtar

Shoaib Akhtar, the well-known Pakistani Cricketer is also on the list. One of the fastest bowlers in the history of cricket and now a commentator once revealed that he was a die-hard fan of mesmerizingly beautiful Sonali Bendre. Almost everyone on the Pakistani cricket team was aware of the fondness that Shoaib possessed for her and how much of a huge crush he had on Sonali Bendre.

It is believed that he used to keep her pictures in his wallet and even used to think of kidnapping her. Both of them did meet once but it was a rather official meet as they met during one of the matches between India and Pakistan.

Nothing really happened between the two of them and eventually, he got married on 11 November 2014 to Rubab Khan while Sonali was already married to Goldie Behl by that time.

4. Govinda

On this list of linkups, we also have the name of a very well-known established actor who too was in the 90s and was quite famous. Yes, we are talking about none other than Govind Arun Ahuja. This veteran actor is not just an actor but also a great comedian with perfect wit and comic timing, a stupendous dancer, and a former politician who still is loved as much by everyone as he was loved before.

Govinda has done quite a few films with Sonali like Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain, Aag, and Apne Dam Par and that is how both these talented actors first met each other.

What gives surface to the point that he too had a crush on Sonali was when in an interview he revealed that if he had not been already married to his wife Sunita Ahuja he definitely would’ve proposed to this ravishing and super talented actress Sonali Bendre.

5. Goldie Behl

Despite all the linkups, crushes, and affairs the guy Sonali ended up with was Indian filmmaker and entrepreneur Goldie Behl and eventually, he went on to become Sonali Bendre husband. This couple very proudly revealed that they met because of Goldie’s sister who introduced them. They also add that for the both of them it was nothing but pure love at first sight.

They eventually started going on lunch dates and that is how the mutual fondness grew between them. Finally, in the year 2002, they both decided to tie the knot and finally settle. Now they are a happy family of three.

Sonali said that Goldie Behl was her biggest support when she was battling cancer.
