Salman Khan Once Asked A. R. Rahman “When Will You Work For Us?”, Rahman Gave A Savage Reply

Published: Updated: 2 minutes read

The Dabangg superstar Salman Khan is well known as ‘the emperor of box office’. He has rewritten all the record books with his blockbuster hits. We have seen the actor more hardworking than ever in the past few years, which has definitely helped him to stay out of controversies. But wait! He isn’t completely out those infamous instances and today, we’ll be taking you down through one such ‘wrong reason’ for which he grabbed the news.

The incident took place in 2014, where Salman Khan and A. R. Rahman shared a stage for some event and interacted with media. Director Kabir Khan and Political figure-lawyer Kapil Sibal too were present on the stage.

Everyone saw the clip where Salman Khan publicly snubbed A. R. Rahman at a recent launch event by calling him an average musician. However, not many know why Sallu openly took a dig at the music composer. Even though Salman played off the entire incident on Twitter as a joke, asking if only he and Rahman have a sense of humour, I am told that there actually is some tension between the two – and it goes back to the time when they nearly worked on a film together. Here are the details!

During the event, Salman called Rahman as an average composer (jokingly). The comment didn’t go down well with Rahman fans and Khan received flak of netizens, back then.

Back in the event, Salman funnily asked, when Rahman will compose for his films? The ace composer didn’t reply at the very moment but came back with a savage reply when the reporter asked the same. While replying to the reporter, Rahman said that,

“He’ll compose for Salman’s films only if the actor does the films he likes. Ultimate thug life, isn’t it?”

For the unversed, Salman and Rahman share a not-so-good equation since Ek Tha Tiger days. Apparently, the composer was approached by Kabir Khan for the spy thriller. For some unknown reasons, the offer was turned down by Rahman and expectedly, it left our beloved star a bit upset.
