Here Is Why Toilet Stalls Don’t Go All The Way Down To The Floor

We hardly pay attention over such things. Never thought of it until we were sitting there and peeing or pooping. One evening while peeing out of nowhere it popped into my head why there is a gap down the door and I was wondering what exactly made the creator do. Finally, I figured out few appropriate reasons behind it:

1. It makes cleaning easier.

Just to save time while cleaning it becomes easier to mop downwards without opening the gate, gate doesn’t become barrier while cleaning.

2. In case of medical emergency, it won’t go unnoticed.

If someone caught by some tragic moment while dumping, it won’t go unnoticed, since the door doesn’t go all the way down, it is noticeable if anything happens there, even in case of emergency one can pull that person out.

3. It restrains people from doing something which shouldn’t be done publicly.

Since the door is not fully covered, it is easily noticeable if any couple is getting intimate which our society discourages and which generally frown people. Another unacceptable activity includes vandalism, drug abuse. Since this pattern has been adopted activities like this has been reduced to a great extent. Ten inch gap made them realize this is a public place.

4. It costs less than the normal doors.

These doors don’t require that much effort like normal doors; they don’t require that much maintenance whereas normal doors need to be created according to the room with equal dynamics.

5. One could easily spot if someone is doing their business.

It stops unnecessary banging on the door. It could be guessed if someone is there or not. This generally stops unnecessary queuing.

6. One could ask for help.

By saying help I mean if you are running out of toilet paper one can pass you this.

7. What if you end up locking yourself.

Locking yourself will not scare you here you don’t have to shout if you ever get yourself stuck, all you need to do is climb over or go under to come out.
