Cab drivers, like any other profession, have their fair share of problems. Despite the fact that most drivers are trustworthy and responsible, some have a reputation for behaving unethically, which can cause a number of problems, especially for female customers.
Recently, this unprofessionalism has become a hot topic of discussion after a Rapido driver sent an unpleasant text message to a woman after she provided her location over WhatsApp, marking yet another instance of impolite behavior by taxi drivers and bike taxi aggregators against female clients.
The whole creepy exchange went viral on Twitter and forced the company to respond to it. So, here’s what happened:

A screenshot of the exchange was published on Twitter by the user husnpari, and the post has now gone viral. The lady posted a snapshot of the conversation, in which the man claimed to have come just after hearing her voice and seeing her display image.
He continued by saying that if it hadn’t been for the pickup, he wouldn’t have arrived. Taking to Twitter, the passenger wrote,

The tweet soon went viral and led to a surge of various negative comments towards the Rapido company.

Rapido responds to the incident
Due to this, the company also reacted to the tweet, saying,
“Hi, it is extremely disappointing for us to learn about the captain’s lack of professionalism and we are apologetic about the same. (1/2)”

The company added,

Despite this, the tweet is getting a lot of attention. While many people are bashing the company, others are bashing the driver’s unprofessionalism.
