Adah Sharma Shares Why There’s No Furniture In Sushant Singh Rajput’s Mumbai Flat

Since her breakthrough performance in the movie The Kerala Story, actress Adah Sharma has been the talk of the town. Following the movie’s success, the actress received a ton of offers for roles in other movies and endorsements. She just moved into her new rental house, though. However, the most remarkable thing about her house is that it was once owned by the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Late actor SSR allegedly took his life in 2020. By transitioning from soap operas to Bollywood, Sushant has completed many successful projects in his short-lived career. However, his legacy was overshadowed by the conspiracy theories around his death. Many people alleged that he was murdered, while others claimed that industry’s big names bullied him a lot.

Since then, his Mount Blanc residence has remained unoccupied until Adah embraced it. Now that Adah Sharma is going to live in the same flat where SSR died, people have many questions to ask her. During her recent interview, Adah revealed various striking features about SSR’s former house and how she feels there.

Adah Sharma is now living in late Sushant Singh Rajput’s flat

For those who are unaware, the 4BHK apartment is situated in Bandra West, Mumbai, on the sixth story of the Mont Blanc building. Additionally, the duplex overlooking the sea features a patio and is purportedly worth crores. Adah has recently confirmed that she is not the property’s owner.

Adah Sharma attended the announcement of Vikram Bhatt’s forthcoming films on August 12, 2024. When questioned about whether she had bought SSR’s previous apartment or was simply renting it out, the actress explained that she had taken the apartment on rent. She mentioned that her grandmother helps with the rent payment and that she resides with her mother. Adah Sharma said,

I took that flat on rent. The Rs. 378 crores earned by The Kerala Story (2023) are not mine! Not just me, even my grandmother contributes to it. She argued that since she also resides there, she’ll also pay the rent. My mother doesn’t work, so she doesn’t contribute, but she cooks great food for us.

Adah Sharma reveals that Sushant Singh Rajput’s flat is unfurnished

Adah Sharma disclosed in the same interview that Sushant Singh Rajput’s apartment is empty. This was brought up when Vikram Bhatt intervened in a lighthearted manner, saying that Adah doesn’t believe in furniture, hence it’s not in her house. Adah chuckled at this and said that there was no furniture in even her previous home. Intrigued by Adah’s answer, the filmmaker inquired as to what she meant. Then Adah clarified, saying,

It means that I like space. I like dancing, and when I dance, I don’t want anything to get in the way. In Mumbai, we pay for space, and if I’m staying in such a beautiful house, I’d like to move around freely! That’s why there’s no furniture in my house.

Adah’s distinct style of living in an unfurnished house is a reflection of her need for mobility and independence. But it also appears like she’s approaching the area that a beloved star once called home with new eyes.
